Areas

An area is a physical area within a location. For example, a lake may have a swimming area and a separate boating area. Likewise, each tennis court may be areas within a Tennis Courses location.

Validations
  • Each area must have a valid organization, camp, and area.
  • Area code must be unique.
  • Area name must be unique.

Area Definition
Area Attribute Description
AreaID Unique ID
OrganizationID Organization associated to the Area.
CampID Camp associated to the Area.
LocationID Location associated to the Area.
AreaCode Area Code. Must be a unique value.
AreaName Area Name. Must be a unique value. 
AreaDesc Area Description.
MaxSize Displays the max size the location can hold.  Validated agains the XX_AREAMAXSIZE lookup value.  This max size value is not restricted during course registration
HandicappAccessible Indicates if the location is handicapp accessible. Validates against the ZZ_YESNO lookup values.
HasElectrical Indicates if the location has electrical power. Validates against the ZZ_YESNO lookup values.
HasWater Indicates if the location has water. Validates against the ZZ_YESNO lookup values.
HasRestrooms Indicates if the location has restroom facilities.  Validates against the XX_AREARESTROOMS lookup values.

ActiveFlag Indicates if the location record is active.  Validates against the ZZ_YESNO lookup values..
CreationDate The date the record was created.
CreatedBy The user that created the record.
LastUpdateDate The date the record was last updated.
LastUpdatedBy The user that last updated the record.

Adding Areas - Mass Additions
  • A mass addition is a bulk import from a comma delimited file. Please review the Mass Addition notes before working with these files.
  • Download a template from the Templates section.
  • Fill out appropriate data. Ensure Insert or Update column is set to INSERT.
  • Navigation: Camp Admin Menu Item - Mass Additions
  • Choose an Import Type of Area
  • Click the Choose File Button. Navigate to your CSV file.
  • Click Upload File.
  • A message is displayed that the file uploaded successfully.
  • It is recommended that you select Validate file first! This will run through the file without loading it and provide any errors, which should be resolved before the file is actually loaded.
  • Click the Process File Button
  • Each record will either be successfully processed or will display an error.
  • Resolve any errors, upload the file again, and validate again. Repeat until all errors are resolved.
  • Once all errors are resolved, navigate to the CSV and upload it again.
  • Select Load in the drop down list to load the file.
Adding an Area - Web Pages
  • Navigation: Camp Admin - Area
  • Select an organization, camp and location.
  • Enter a unique Area Code and Area Name.
  • Optionally, enter a Area Description.
  • Optionally, enter max size, handicapp accessible, power, water, and the type of restrooms avialble.
  • Save the Record.

Editing Areas - Mass Additions

Editing an Area - Webpages
  • Navigation: Camp Admin - Area
  • Use the search criteria to find an area.
  • Click the Select link in the gridview.
  • Modify the Area.
  • Save the record.
