Configuring User Login Messages

The messages provided to an end user during the login process can be customzied by an system administrator.

Invalid User
  • Navigation: Admin - System Parameters
  • Query the XX_LOGININVALIDUSER system parameter.
  • Update the value of Attribute1 to the desired message. The seeded message is - Invalid User.
  • Save the record.

Invalid Password
  • Navigation: Admin - System Parameters
  • Query the XX_LOGININVALIDPASSWORD system parameter.
  • Update the value of Attribute1 to the desired message. The seeded message is - Invalid User.
  • Save the record.

Unapproved User
  • Navigation: Admin - System Parameters
  • Query the XX_LOGINUNAPPROVEDUSER system parameter.
  • Update the value of Attribute1 to the desired message. The seeded message is - This user account has not been approved.
  • Save the record.

Optional Setup

The system administrators email address can be appended to the end of the unapproved message, so the end user knows who to contact.

  • Navigation: Admin - System Parameters
  • Query the XX_DISPLAYSYSTEMADMINEMAIL system parameter.
  • Update the value of Attribute1 to Yes.
  • The message will append Attribute2 to the XX_SYSTEMADMINEMAIL system parameter and to Attribute3. This entire string is then appended to the unapproved message.
  • Save the record.


Locked User
  • Navigation: Admin - System Parameters
  • Query the XX_LOGINLOCKEDUSER system parameter.
  • Update the value of Attribute1 to the desired message. The seeded message is - This user account has been locked because of too many invalid attempts.
  • Save the record.

Optional Setup

The system administrators email address can be appended to the end of the locked message, so the end user knows who to contact.

  • Navigation: Admin - System Parameters
  • Query the XX_DISPLAYSYSTEMADMINEMAIL system parameter.
  • Update the value of Attribute1 to Yes.
  • The message will append Attribute2 to the XX_SYSTEMADMINEMAIL system parameter and to Attribute3. This entire string is then appended to the locked message.
  • Save the record.
