Camps

A camp is an area where events occur. Activities are created as courses, and people can register for certain courses.

Validations
  • Must be assigned to a valid organization.
  • Camp Code must be unique.
  • The start date must begin before the end date. Both must be valid dates. Microsoft SQL Server defaults empty dates to 01/01/1753 for the beginning of time, and 12/31/9999 for the end of time. These dates will be defaulted in the database record if left blank.
  • Must have a valid license
Camp Object Definition
Camp Attribute Description
CampID Unique identifier for the camp record.
CampCode Unique code to describe the camp.
CampName Name of the camp.
CampDesc Description of the camp.
OrganizationID Organization that the camp is associated to.
CampDirectorPersonID Person ID of the Camp Director.  This information is used on the contact us page.  It wil print the person's primary phone number and primary email address.
AsstCampDirectorPersonID Person ID of the Asstistant Camp Director.  This information is used on the contact us page.  It wil print the person's primary phone number and primary email address.
CampWebmasterPersonID Person ID of the Camp Webmaster.  This information is used on the contact us page.  It wil print the person's primary phone number and primary email address.

ActiveFlag Activates or inactivates the camp record. List validates against the ZZ_YESNO lookups values.
StartDate The date the camp becomes active.
End Date The date the camp becomes inactive.
CreationDate The date the record was created.
CreatedBy The user that created the record.
LastUpdateDate The date the record was last updated.
LastUpdatedBy The user that last updated the record.

Adding a Camp
  • Navigation: Admin - Camps
  • A unique camp code and a camp name must be added.
  • Optionally, a camp description can be added.
  • Camp Director, Asst. Camp Director, and Camp Webmaster are used to display on the Contact Us page. If they are selected on the camp record, their primary phone number and primary email address from their person record will display on the contact us page. Note: For people to display in these drop down lists, they must be an active person with an active person organization assignment.
Edit a Camp
  • Navigation: Admin - Camps
  • Select an organization. Then select the desired camp.
  • Make any necessary chanages and save the record.
Assign Camp Director, Assistant Camp Director, and Camp Webmaster

Assigning these values on the Camp Page will setup the Contact Us page. Likewise, it is the first step in Configuring My Requests

  • Navigation: Admin - Camps
  • Assign the Camp Director, Assistant Camp Director, or Camp Webmaster.
  • Save the Record.
