Summer Camp Systems Administration - Adding a User

  • Navigation: Admin - Create User
  • Add a unique username.
  • Set the initial password. The seeded password requirements are minimum 8 characters and 1 non-alphanumeric character. However, these can be modified by your system administrator in the web.config file.
  • Enter a unique email
  • Choose a Password question and enter an answer.
  • On the next screen, select the user roles for this user.
  • Receive confirmation that the account was created.
  • Navigation: Camp User - People
  • Since the user record is being manually created, it will need to be associated with a person record.
  • Enter a first name, last name, and select the user name to create a person.
  • Save the record.
  • Navigation: Camp User - Person Org - Add Person Organization Relationship
  • If the new user will have the camp user, camp admin, or administrator role, at least a person organization assignment should be created.
  • If the new user will have the unit user role, the person organization assignment can be created by the Initialize Login process described in User Preferences below or it can be manually created. If it is manually created a person unit assignment should also be created.
  • Select an organization and person.
  • Save the record.
  • Navigation: Camp User - Person Unit - Add Person Unit Relationship
  • In most cases, this is an optional step!
  • If you are creating a user with the camp user, camp admin, or administrator role, he or she will have the authority to create person unit assignments as needed.
  • If you are creating a user with the unit user role, the user preference Initialize Login will allow the unit user to create a person unit assignment during the first login. If you plan to not allow the user to Initialize their assignments, you would then need to create a person unit assignment.
  • Navigation: Camp User - User Preferences
  • A user preference record will automatically be created for the user.
  • If the user being created has the camp user, camp admin, or administrator role, the Initialize Login field should be set to No. This will stop the user from being prompted on login to create a person organization assignment and person unit assignment.
  • If the user being created has the unit user role, this will prompt the new user to create a person organization assignment and person unit assignment during their initial login.
  • Search for the User Name
